If you don't care about the experience of driving an absolutely superb sports car then buy one of the others from your list... or any other vehicle mentioned. The only other one suggested that can do what this car does is an MX-5 (which I've also previously owned and I'd easily pick an FR-S again over that car as well).
i love the seats too and i want something that handles well and has a navi. the BRZ is everything i want but its too hard to find one which is pretty discouraging. people talk about how slow it is but i think its pretty fast considering its only 2700-2800 pounds WITHOUT a turbo.

I love my FRS.. So much so I make payments on the bitch for the next 80 months.. Happy I got it, but man did I really, really want the genesis I love the way it looks to.. We have one here in the parking lot and I just had to park them side by side and I love it.. Both sharp cars.. My honest to god reason I got the FRS... It doesn't have a Hyundai badge.. I know they have came up.. My mom and dad both own kia.. Small commuter car for my pops and a sportage fully loaded for my mom.. Very nice vehicles.. Everything down to one part is great.. The Kia badge.. Slap a Nissan on it or,Toyota and they couldn't keep them in the lots.. And the new optima is ..... Well amazing.. The feel the power the brakes... Shocking for a family car.. The sales man say it has the 325 in sight... I don't think it's that far off...

That being said.. If you have any buyers remorse like me.... Auto over the stick... Flip it if I had gone for the stick, I would've wished for the auto... Sit in each car.. Take that extra few weeks.. And buy the car the gells with you best..mthe one your going to be happy paying on.. No matter what, itsmparked at your, place and payed for by your cash...

The car I traded in on my FR-S was a Miata and I found it and bought it on ebay in 2006. I flew over to California and drove it back. My last motorcycle, a Harley Sportster, I found on ebay and flew to Cookeville, Tennessee to get it and rode it back to Tucson. I don't consider the cost of flying there and driving a vehicle back as part of the cost of that vehicle. I consider it the cost of a neat, mini-vacation.

As far as taking that survey on this forum -

2014 BRZ Turbo if you can wait and see if it really does happen. If not BRZ now.

In order of most speed/power in a straight line stock vs stock
1. MS3
2. Gen coupe V6
3. Gen coupe 2.0T
4. BRZ

As far as handling in order of which is the best
1. BRZ
2. MS3
3. Gen Coupe V6, Gen coupe 2.0T

If you plan to mod, in order of most aftermarket support
1. BRZ
2. MS3
3. Gen coupe 2.0T
4. Gen coupe V6

If you want to stay relatively stock and care more about power and utility, get a Mazdaspeed3.
If you want the absolute best handling car in stock form and want a real sports coupe, BRZ.

I've got experience with the Mazdaspeed3 as well. Go to my site www.crossoverauto.com to see the parts available for the MS3 and BRZ. Either way you go, let me know if I can help.

People have been saying that the BRZ's nav is pretty useless so if you need reliable nav, you're probably better off with a Garmin or a phone. Or good ol' paper maps

Amen to that! When I bought the Z3 Coupe I did the opposite - flew down to AZ and drove it back to California. It was a great little road trip

It sounds to me like you already know the car you should buy. If I were you I'd be patient and watch for a BRZ. Eventually, you'll come across one. My FR-S was the result of someone backing out of their deal. Just call all the dealers within a range you're willing to drive to and get the word out that you're looking. One will pop up.

Go with the BRZ but also add the Focus ST3 to the list. Which is my main problem. Would love to see the two to head to head even though they are two different animals. Both new and exciting and same price.

Why is the MS3 here? It's a FWD four-door hot-hatch. Worse, it's not even a particularly good one. The only reason it does well here in the US is that it doesn't have the much better competitors (Megane RS, Civic Type R, Vauxhall Astra VXR, etc) it has in foreign markets. Here it only has to go up against the VW GTI - well, until the Focus ST showed up!

If you really want to consider a hot-hatch look at the Focus.

Pure price means you have to pay the markup if there is one, no negotiation. It's a scam.

If you're hung up on the nav, just get a Pioneer Avic head unit with nav to replace the factory Scion head unit. The Subaru nav isn't that spectacular that you should want it strictly for that.

Maybe the FR-S guys can chime in; does the Bespoke unit have nav?

I bought a BRZ because of the better interior and because I didn't want a Scion Branded Car.

After having 4,000 miles on my BRZ I can tell you I'd be happy with an FR-S if I had bought one.

The driver's experience is so great it makes you forget everything because of driver involvement.

Here's a review of it. It's very lame and requires the BeSpoke app for iPhone. Better off getting the stock audio system and replacing the head unit as you recommended.
