OK I tried the speak nicely to the dealer method. That produced nothing. Might test out a different card with igo Primo.

Yes I saw a sat nav cheap and bought it as I was expecting to have to have car now.

Spoke to my local Toyota dealer today (not the one where I bought my car from), they can supply this card for a mere $260! Suffice to say that I have contacted the dealer from where i bought the car to try and get it supplied.

Still heard nothing from TMCA.

Got a response from my salesman today, this is his response:

"Basically all the new Sat Nav units with the SD Card input are the same, the quickest fix is to get one out of one of the current Toyota’s for sale and swap it with yours as this will update the unit. Then just put your SD card back in and it should be all sweet. Problem may be getting hold of one of these if Pacific Toyota is unwilling to co-operate."

I'm thinking BS on this and have called him on it, I await his response.

Don't suppose you want to lend me yours @crimespree and I can see if it is as he says.

Yeah he has to back that up by letting you borrow one for 5 minutes! First boot takes ages. I thought it was buggered but left it and it eventually came up after a few screen flickerings..
