So I took the car out for a long drive with the 1.07 flash on it. Drives fine, but the gas gauge continuously drops to 50% and shoots back up. The avg mpg is reading 1.0 or so, and it seems to be overriding the float sensor. Kinda funny.

I appreciate all you do John but these little bugs are starting to add up and it seems like you are just pumping out tunes without testing them first now. I would rather wait a little while for a more refined and bugless tune, than get something that performs better but comes with these little quirks.

This happens with major companies also with millions spent on research ie. Canon, Nikon, Toyota. Sometimes it takes the consumer in the field to pick up all the bugs. This really doesn't bother me because I'm sure all the issues will be addressed. It certainly isn't an exact science.

John's not releasing this version out to everyone - he's advised everyone not to flash. The only people who are flashing are those who volunteered and are feeling "lucky". They are aware of the risks and are doing the very testing that you're suggesting.

I wasn't so lucky, I couldn't even get my file to flash due to error message. Oh well, crossing fingers for next tune

Gotta a secret weapon to hold me over til then

Update:
2 hours from I opened the Ecutek box and started reading about this til car is flashed and test driven. Thanks to Hawaiian for the How to video.
I heard Perrin has a good one.

There is also a help file that comes with ProECU .

I'm still recovering from last night so nothing is getting done today. Still feel pretty sick.. Might be food poisoning.

The tune went fine with the file I received early last week, but I see the same bugs as others have mentioned over last pages. I didn't realize it was a new all stop on flashing. Maybe you should consider email distribution for critical info. I do not have time to hang out in this thread all the time. Do I need to fill in form to get the latest file without bugs? Anyway, liked to see car pull all the way to 8000 rpm. :-)

You don't have to read all the posts in the thread, just click on @Visconti find all his posts and read those for the most recent stuff.

I was not able to successfully figure out what is triggering it. Both times this happened today I was on the highway in 5th gear. The tach has never had this happen when I'm in the city.

Is this a glitch?

John I just got your updated tune and flashed it. She started up just fine and is idling right now. I'll take it for a spin to check out the glitches, but most importantly it's not bricked.

Funny as hell if you left it like that and brought it back to the dealer and showed them that.. and expect them to fix it

wow man this had me giggling. You were redlining it for like 20 seconds! lol.

That must have been really weird to see, hopefully you get it fixed soon though. That is the weirdest thing I've seen!
