Is there a better step by step procedure to flash the car for the first time than the 1. post in this marathon thread? I have never done this before it doesn't say anything about when to plug in to car when to start the car etc. I need the Flashing for dummies. I plan to flash the car this afternoon. Thanks!

Update:
2 hours from I opened the Ecutek box and started reading about this til car is flashed and test driven. Thanks to Hawaiian for the How to video.

@Hawaiian posted a video a few pages back.
@Visconti - maybe you want to link it in the first post for folks to use

I made this video. If there's enough demand I will make one with better production quality, but I leave for cali for 4 days. I also shot it with my go-pro so I didn't see things were out of camera at times.

Still, not too shabby for a first time.

Having similar issues with the analog fuel gauge. I had to switch to a couple other maps to get the fuel gauge to fall to its true reading. It was 'stuck' around 50+% when the digital fuel readout showed ~20%.

When I get my updated tune I will remake the video so you can actually see what I'm doing on my laptop.

Latest, mine is also having issues. But switching maps has not helped. Im now over 150 miles driven, and its still says I have only used a 1/4 tank. I switched maps all day yesterday and still no luck.

Good to know. I couldn't even flash latest tune, so I guess it was just as well
Previous tune worked for me

7.0

Map 1 - vTune
Map 2 - everything
Map 3 - same
Map 4 - same

Not the latest set of maps. I've filled out the form for that one.

Yeah, my fuel guage is a little 'off' as well. Reading significantly lower than actual level. Don't know if it will correct here in due time or not.

It is a bit worrying to me, as running out of gas is never an exciting proposition.

Usually not, unless you notice something funny.
