More parts will come with time. Even if STI released something like a turbo kit, people wouldn't buy it. It'd be well engineered and 2-3x what the aftermarket is already producing and it wouldn't come with any kind of warranty. STI exhausts have sucked for years. The last one worth buying was the genome muffler in the early 2000s? Group N parts were nice but that was a rally car only kind of thing.

After years of owning Subarus, the only STI bits really worthwhile have been body pieces like the front lips and grills. Most of their go fast bits have been outrageously expensive and/or negligible performance upgrades.

I know the earlier STi BRZ concept (with the large wing) was just that, but I think people would have liked something more along the way it looked? The aftermarket is generally better for most things, but I've always loved the Impreza/STi stuff and so far, the BRZ STi styling isn't aggressive enough; pull up to a stoplight and you could instantly tell an STi Impreza over stock.

If the BRZ continues to do really well--which it should--maybe STi parts will only get better. I will say I like the black STi wheels, but I'll probably just get third-party wheels . . .

I feel like I can just drive this car right on the edge of the friction circle. What a satisfying ride in terms of...everything!"
