A little bit disappointed in these three days
The production GT86 doesn't look as good as the cars in photos or in auto shows. I am actually a little bit turned off when I see the front of the car.
It just doesn't look that sharp to me. If the base model price is over $25K which is some significant money for me to spend, I will wait several years more and see the feedback from actual owners. A great chance for price > $25K Not so good looking as expected(similar to gensis to me) Limited quantity(1000?) Hope some good news will be out 2 days later. |

I sort of had the opposite reaction. I was losing interest in the car when the stories about the mule test drives started to leak out, it sounded like it wasn't going to have the great handling they promised and it looked pretty awful in the camo. If you look at other concept cars and how they ended up looking as production cars, I would say this one stayed a lot closer than most (comparing to the second concept, not the original or frs).
Since the training manual started leaking out I'm excited about the car again. I think it looks great and from all the videos of the Gazoo event it looks awesome to drive as well. They have checked all the boxes for me so far, only thing I'm waiting to hear now is price. |

I think that this car will be mind blowing to actually see in person. The first time I laid eyes on the orange production model, I was like
. and I hate that little spoiler. But wow the other colors make the car look amazing. Minus the little spoiler. Then I saw the blue one with the body kit. Blew me away. Give the car some time to grow on you. :happy0180: |

I just want to see the 86 in person and next to a BRZ for a good purchase decision. Only about a day left, Im sure alot of hopes and doubts will be built when TMS happens.

I think it looks good and have the feeling it will look even better in person. Can't wait to see it with a nice set of wheels and dropped a little.

I'm actually glad none of them looked like the MK2, MK3 Five Axis and STI concept. Those look too "overdone" and riced out to me. I'm a little bummed out that it took a good step away from how the MKI looked both in the exterior and interior. Overall, I'm glad to see Toyota back in the mix of making fun to drive cars again.

Something about the fat rounded rear 1/4 panels im not liking. But ill wait too see it in person then judge for myself. As for the rest of the car im liking it very much. A little sour on the no FI but i dig NA just as much. Personally the high CR means to me with cams/inlet and exhaust mods this puppy will scream to 250-270hp with ease. |

First post! But I too think the same about the front end. I wish they would have stuck with the mark I version. I loved the front fenders on it, how they brought the wheel arches out to meet the tire as opposed to what we have now. High arched front fenders that are completely flat on the outside edge.
Despite all that though I am still very much interested in the car, but like many others, 24k would be about as much as I could afford. Only things I want out of it as far as amenities is ac and cloth seats, leather kind of sucks down here in the heat! Who wouldn't love this too

I know I'm in the minority, but I actually prefer the gt86 over the MKI concept overall as a car. I prefer the rear of the concept, but if I had to choose one or the other, I think I'd go with the gt86.

I prefer the GT86 over the MK1. MK1 is less agressive. I would only take the tail lights off the MK1.

The biggest disappointment for me other than that is the brake lights, but they look fine I think. Overall I think it is a great looking car. If they could sell the mk1 concept just like it is I would rather buy that but I knew from the moment I saw it that the production version wouldn't look anything like it. |
