I took it to the dealer to have the rattles addressed, they said they didn't notice anything after inspection. They obviously didn't inspect anything because after I left I heard the rattles from my door panel instantly. I found the rattles are coming from the window control switches. Going back to show them. I don't turn the stereo on anymore because it's too annoying to hear buzz and rattles over the music. I never go over 30 on volume. The noises are there with bass down, sub level down, and volume at 15! I even switch it from FEEL to HEAR to NATURAL,,,rattles constantly! I also have it set up for the FR-S,,,,,they come setup for a TC from factory! Turn stereo off, push and hold the main knob down, now you can control car type, sub level, and enter a personal start up text.

I think that set to "feel" with the bass on 2 and the volume at 20 is blasting the bass on this thing. It's a standard car stereo, not a custom billion watt thumper.

But then again I'm an old fart who listens to mostly classical music.

lol

All I ever listen to is POTUS and NPR talk radio at levels just high enough to comfortably listen to, and after trying to listen to some music after a few weeks I got plenty of rattle out of that speaker.

I took it to the dealership a week or so later showed the tech the problem, he instantly said that yes the speaker was in fact blown and would be replaced under warranty. A week later the replacement speaker came in and they replaced it. Well now less than 2 days later the EXACT same speaker is blown out again.

I am talking about the door speaker on the passengers side.

EQ settings are moderate at best. Bass 2, treble 3, fade and balance set to Middle, ASR high rate, ASL medium, SSR feel, interface USB, mode FR-S.

So i am not BLASTING bass through them. The volume is typically around 25-30 on the highway and 20-25 in the city.

So today i will be discussing with the dealership about upgrading my base system to the premium system for free because of the hassel.

I feel as if the problem is in the Amp or the wiring. What do you guys think?
Try this turn off the radio hold the big round mode button in for a few seconds a menu will come up check to make sure the car type says FR-S it is set to TC stock and the TC has more speakers and could be sending to much power to yours.

LOL - I put a 1000 watt stereo system with 2-10" subs in the trunk. The entire car ignites when I pump it. I put rubber pads under my licence plate to slow down the rattling.

Nothing like driving on a twisty road, with extreme bass pumping.
Thats one minor reason I call my car, "Therapy."

A bad amplifier can destroy a speaker.

A failing amplifier can send all kinds of DC garbage and pulses to the speaker that can damage the mechanical structure of the speaker, or warp the coil by heating.

If a speaker goes bad and is replaced by a new speaker which also goes bad, almost always will find the amplifier is malfunctioning and torching the speaker. It may not be producing audible sounds while doing this, in fact it may sound somewhat normal. Esp if the amplifier is DC coupling the speaker....you won't hear the damaging current at all...but the amp and the speaker coil will both be getting pretty hot.
