I just bought a set of TC rims to use on my frs this winter, because i got a killer deal on CL. I took the gamble cause I'm fairly sure the offset will not be an issue, same size wheel, same size tire BUT the TC wheel uses mag style lug nuts. I didnt notice till I got home and am kicking myself, So I will report back but it my understanding that if the wheel is not hub centric it won't work, to top it off the TC lug nuts are 12-1.5 and frs is 12-1.25 so to test it I need to buy new lugs.

TC lugs are the wrong pitch (1.5 vs 1.25) so they won't work. Looks like mine will be back up for sale, from what I've read the tc wheel has a 54.1mm bore while the frs has a 56mm hub, and I'm no sure machining them out 2mm is cost effective. Can't measure till I get home later tonight but ill report back once I do.

Just got a chance to measure the bores and tried to test fit, they will not work, as stated before the wheels have a small 54.1mm bore which won't fit over the 56mm FR-S hub. I'm sure they could be machined out but its not worth the hassle for me and they were cheap enough so I should be able to actually make some money off of it. Damn shame too cause they look really nice. Anyone in the NJ area want some cheap TC wheels? haha Mike - I'll be watching out for your sale! And I'm local! |

The trick is that you don't want to be driving on snows that much in warmer temperatures, because the rubber is softer than your stockies/summer tires and will wear out more quickly. |

Summer Performance Tires aren't really designed for use below 50 degrees Fahrenheit, so whenever your region starts to see temperatures drop below 50F during your normal commute, I'd consider putting the winters on.
We started to drop below 50 here in NY this past week, so I'll be swapping out this weekend. |
