The worst part is that the pickup drivers always think they own the road, and if anyone were to get into an accident with them, they'd most likely die.
I will second this! I am originally from Seattle but I live in Huntsville now. Here's my list of unscientific observations pertaining to southern drivers.

- Nobody uses signals
- 75% of people drive some form of truck in various states of decay
- People here seem to think its perfectly OK to enter a 70mph freeway at 45mph (again without a signal)
- People drive in the middle lane doing 20mph under the speed limit on the freeway.
- They haven't figured out how a 4-way stop works.
- They don't look BOTH ways before turning left across traffic.
- UA or Auburn stickers completely blocking rear window
- UA or Auburn flags that tend to fall off cars with zero warning (and then the driver will SLAM on their brakes to fetch it.
- Police roadblocks in front of mega churches on Sunday? WTF?
- People drive 30mph everywhere when it rains.
- People drive 10mph in the snow (and still spin out)

That's my short list. lol! Of course, this is a gross generalization and not meant to offend. Seattle drivers have their own list I'm sure.

You nearly got me to rant about GA drivers (ATL specifically). But I digress, we know how poorly people drive and that it's in anything from Ferraris to junkers.

Back on topic:

I hope your car is in perfect shape and is nothing less than she was when you received her. I'd be heartbroken to get my car back and find that something just didn't feel right.

Also, pics. We need to see this makeover.

What roads are you taking? I have lived here all my life and I know no one can drive down here, and I've experienced all the above, but not on a day by day basis to remember everything

Let us know how it turns out. I've been in your position before, I got T-boned on the drivers side by an old camry going over 60 miles an hour trying to make a light. My poor mustang. They caused $12k in damage, I'm surprised the damage for your car was that low.
