I think people are missing the fact that it's not that it's loose so much as it's pushing through the top of the knob to tighten it all the way down (at least that's how I read it).

The simplest solution would be to find a nut and thread that on first. Then thread the shift knob down snug against the nut. That should take up the necessary room on the thread and also serve as a sort of lock-nut to keep it from unthreading.

Mine is pretty snug, even after full removal and reinstallation. what kind of gorilla death grip are you guys using to shift?

happened to me about a week ago decided ill stop by tomorrow get a new one and maybe order the trd exhaust.
