I work for Care Ambulance as an EMT in the city of Orange, what intersection was this at? If I was working that day I would of been on that call.

Lol, BRZ has no Scion badge, so quite possibly! Kidding of course.

On a side note: Not only was it stupid to be street racing in the first place, it's even worse when you are subjecting helpless passengers in your car and/or other people's cars to this.

Damn, strong car is strong.

They're lucky to be alive after that.

I hope those people have learnt their lesson now and don't do stupid things like this again.

yeah i never do any of that stuff with people in my car, unless its my son, he likes going to empty parking lots when it rains to drift, but we are going like 10 mph in an area as big as a football field, plus its raining so easy drifting!

I mean there's intelligent ways to do these things if you can't make it to a track. Empty parking lots are fine but these guys looked like they were 3 way street racing on a multilane road with plenty of other drivers around. I'm surprised the FR-S was the only car that was in the wreck.

Maybe it was good/smart Toyobaru didn't give this car more hp out of the factory, at this price point. That said, you can get any car to go fast, eventually. (I got my first speeding ticket about 2 weeks after getting my license. I pulled out of my high school parking lot and floored it. About 12 seconds later I was clocked doing 58 in a 35 zone. (shoot, I couldn't even hit 60 in 12 seconds?! This was decades ago btw, in a car that was malaise V8 "powered"). So, even a slow car does prevent racing/speeding, but at least it doesn't encourage it as much.

Was anyone able to help before police/ambulance got there?

Any estimate of the age of the occupants?

I'm just glad this car is highly rated in crash testing. That must have been some impact!

Sad thing is, few people will get anything from accidents like these. Those "racers" who ran off will probably keep on street racing.

People really need to run it through their heads before pulling stunts like this on public roads. It involves passengers, pedestrians, and other people and their cars; and most importantly you yourself as a driver. Think of what you mean to your parents, significant other, children, friends, and family. No need getting injured and killed over this kind of stuff.

Seems that no other vehicles were involved in the accident. What did the FRS hit exactly for that type of damage? Did he roll the car?

All I can say is what a bunch of dumb asses if this was because of street racing, I can just picture our insurance rates climbing thanks, but glad to hear no one was seriously hurt.

The driver is seriously hurt, may die or be on a ventilator for life! That is not ok.

Please be safe on the road. None of us wants our family and friends visiting us as a vegetable in rehab, or at our gravesite.

I'm sorry, but this is the dumbest thing I have ever read on these forums. How does it being badged a SCION have ANYTHING to do with it being raced? It could've been a Honda, Hyundai, TOYOTA, SUBARU, Nissan. Oh, and guess what?

People are STILL going to race the car. Stop trying to blame people's stupid antics on a car company. Scion didn't do shit.
