Car Accident - Hit a Dog =(

Was driving home on the way back tonight from Wasaga Beach at night, un-leashed dog jumped out of the right side of the road in front of my car.

The dog didn't make it =( And my car is now dented in completely, with the radiator dented in as well.

Just had the car for less than two weeks, first accident ever in a car too.

Could've been worse. You could've been the person with the dog.

Dog's owner has a broken heart and it is very sad .
A dog is like a children in their life.

I love my dog.

Yeah, but a responsible pet owner wouldn't allow their dog the opportunity to run into the road, I'm sad to say.

People - this is a good lesson, keep your pets restricted to your property by whatever means necessary! Don't let them wander!

I'd have to agree the dog owner also needs to take responsibility.

This happened to my brother also, his dog was hit and died because it wandered onto the road. it was always well behaved so he didnt leash it but one day, it just decided to wander onto the road.

The driver should have spotted her since its a long flat road but regardless, she shouldnt have been there to begin with.

I agree that owner have responsible.

BUT accident is an accident, I am wondering

IF THAT IS A CHILDREN, WHAT WILL THE POLICE SAY.
MUST BE "IT IS THE PARENT PROBLEM; WE NEED A RESPONSIBLE PARENT AND DRIVER IS FINE."

I always keep in mind, accident is accident. If it is not a dog, it is a Moose. If anyone hit a Moose on track, I am just wonder poor Moose or poor car or a poor driver.
Please give a moment and think about it.
Any car can be fix and replace, not a life.

I love driving.

Sorry to hear about the car, but at least you are okay...I own a dog, and it feels worse to hear about the dog not making it out of that situation alive. I, however always leash my dog even if it's just a quick walk around the block, that owner was just kinda asking for it.
