I'd just like to say, we do read the thread every day, just don't update much when we don't have much to update with. Japan's running the kit and refining the tune on the car there, plus refining the parts and pieces for the kit. You know how it goes, you install, you check everything, even though it's running great, you find areas that can be improved for better performance or easier installation. The big picture is done, we are just obsessing over details - reliability is still our no.1 concern.

Keep up the good work! Please take all the time you guys need. I really look forward to installing your kit when it's all done.

Keep hard at it. I personally love the layout of this turbo the best!

Things I like:

1. Stealth layout. I like people to think my car is near stock.

2. The intial tune results. Very nice TQ, um, line. Makes for a great street car that you can drive every day and it will be very predictable.

3. Price. I don't expect this kit to handle extreme track abuse, so it looks fantastic for the price.

Questionable items:

1. Turbo. What size is it? Any chance of a B-W EFR in the future? I know this would raise the price.

2. Airbox. I realize that you can swap it out, but does the stock one really flow well enough for a turbo?

3. Fuel system. I didn't see anything posted about this. Is it using all stock parts?

It's roughly GT28 in sizing, or from our head engineer Terry's viewpoint, good for about 400hp crank in flow.

For stage 1, yes. Remember, this isn't a 2.5-3.0 liter sized motor, it's a 2.0. For higher horsepower builds, upgrading the air box will be recommended.

While we are testing upgrades, they are just that, upgrades. Our stage 1 base kit is going to be set up for using the stock fueling. Stage 2 kits will almost certainly use upgraded fuel pumps/injectors, along with other upgrades (such as the airbox).

Quite honestly, the amount of power at stage 1 is tremendous in relation to the weight of the vehicle, the size of the motor, and being RWD.

Awesome! It's good to know that even the base-line kit still has room to grow with some additonal supporting mods.

Question with this: if I install this stage 1 kit, will i be able to put more upgrades in to equal your stage 2 kit or will I have to buy an entire stage 2 kit? I'm assuming it will be upgradeable but want to be sure

Yes, of course. We make everything modular and upgradeable.

I know you can't speak for all shops, but what are the reasonable expectations?

If the standard is "as is" with no protection, then i'll be doing my own install and taking my sweet time.
The standard is "as is" generally. For a shop to "warranty" something like this, they would want you to source parts, labor, and tuning from them. No shop will warranty a blown engine from an aftermarket turbo install, but it'd be reasonable to expect replacement or extra work for missing bolts or improper install (I.e. gaskets, not putting stuff back).
