I haven't asked for that, go back and read the last sentence in my original post. That is what I'm asking for. This forum is filled with people wishing and wanting and hoping for future things, that's not whining. I wish they both offered a base trim and then allowed you to add packages like practically every other model offered in general in the industry. I made one post to that effect, whining would be posting that everywhere as if my posts would change that. I haven't asked them to change it, nor will I. I'm sorry that I actually expressed an opinion that the twins might not be perfect as they are, I did't realize that would make people so defensive. I'm also being sarcastic.

I have read your original post. You asked a question and I answered it without being defensive. If you don't want answers, why ask questions?

Well if you look at the op. "he want this, he wants that. Oh but it's not on this trim. But they have it on the other trim but I dnt want to pay a bit more" well what do you call that. Whining! Yes it's take it or leave cause specially with the trims offered for the brz and the frs they follow a production line in the factory and it makes things more efficient and quick. It will be a total chaos and confusion if Subaru and Toyota builds a car with specific options as per customer and oh yeah longer wait times. Yes wait is the answer but wait on what? by the time the 2014's come in, I'm pretty sure there will be options new to the 2015 and same crap by the time 2015 hit oh man! there options new to the 2016. And it's going to be a waiting game till you get something.

New model year will not be as early as may/june/july next year. the car was introduced and became available as soon as it was ready. Future model years will be pushed out to regular time frames (most likely the fall).
I don't know what on the FRS screams "I am a scion," but I will guess you mean the tail lights and tire diameters. If you wait ten years these cars will probably be pretty different too. |

While I see your point in wanting certain things, but not others. Consider this, do you plan on keeping the car forever? Resale my friend! Most people, who aren't as enthusiastic about their cars like most of us are on the forum, are all about the flash and most options. Personally I ordered a limited model because in the event something happens and I need to sell it, it will sell itself. I also love everything it came with. After customizing the Premium trim with all the options I wanted, I was a few hundred shy f the limited model. Why not just get the top of the line at that point? Hopefully it won't ever come to that though. I'd get one ASAP!!!
On another note, reminds me of the older days when you COULD order a car with whatever you wanted. Piece by piece, option by option. Would be nice if they did still do that. But making trims saves the company time and money. In the end, that's all it comes down too. Like I said before though, GET ONE! |

Didn't read all the comments but if it is just a price issue I would hold on to the BRZ Limited choice. I'm in essentially the same boat (wouldn't mind paying a little less) but the BRZ Lim has EVERYTHING that i want (except spoiler). Looking forward to an early 2013 delivery! Cheers:happy0180:

I haven't read all the responses but in regards to the original question. I've already purchased my present firestorm. If the Toyobaru twins offer something I like that much better in 2014 I'll simply trade in my 13 for a 14. In the meantime I'm enjoying what I've got.
