There's little to no chance they're going to change the seats or offer keyless access and start in the FR-S, or change the trim levels of the BRZ to offer one with keyless access and start, but without everything else. Buy an auto FR-S and live with starting your car with a key, it's not all that bad.

I'm getting a Limited because my Audi used to have all similar features (leather/alcantara heated seats, auto climate control, navigation, xm/hd radio, fog lights, HID headlights with LED DRL's), and I literally cannot stand the look of the manual climate control knobs. I think they look like Tonka truck tires. Since they only add 16lbs of weight to the car and cost just $2,200 extra, I can definitely justify them. It'll be like driving my MR2 but with all the features of my Audi, all in one car!

ok. it's simple to have your desired features.
buy car. then customize.

#2 option is get over 5,000 or more poeple to have buy feature that you wanted then Toyota/Subaru might make special edtion for you.

i am just messing with ya. but you won't be able to buy exactly what you want. Customize it

I ended up going for the Limited because I really wanted the seats and the climate control. Personally, I hate the NAV and never use it...even when it knows where I am going, it is faster to just use my phone. The HIDs I still don't care that much about...they're cool I guess. The only thing I didn't really want, but has grown on me is the proximity key. Really all I wanted was the GT86 with the leather/alcantara seats, but that combination does not exist here. I don't regret getting the limited at all, and the price difference between the two Subaru trim levels is not great. At the time, the automatic climate controls were a deal-breaker to me for the Scion, but they also don't quite work as well as what you'll find in an Audi, Infiniti, or BMW.

Okay some of you guys completely missed the point. The FR-S starts at a lower price becomes it comes with less, that is not the same thing as saying I want a lower price with a ton of stuff. It's more of a blank canvas. What's wrong with offering a base car and then adding individual things? That's the industry standard isn't it? I see tons of cars that have several trims that you can then add packages to. The BRZ premium starts with stuff base that I don't care to pay for, and then to get some things I do want I have to upgrade the trim level even further and get even more things that I don't care about. It's that simple. I'm not asking for the world, I just hate being forced to buy a TV AND a Bluray player AND a new rug in a package when all I want is the new TV. Trim levels and packages do change with time hence my question and "what would you do" thoughts. Thanks to those that got it.

Doesnt each headlight cost over $600? The premium costs $1200-1300 more than an FRS. It's cheaper to get the BRZ (not to mention less work) unless you get the Scion $1k rebate.

Keyless start essentially won't be something you can retrofit within any reasonable cost amount.

I'm waiting for 2014 I doubt they will have the turbo version but I'd rather wait n see. Also the color options on these cars are terrible (typical from Subaru) but Scion has the same crap. why couldn't they offer that primer looking gray?! I love it.

I'm also tired of companys fucking the white up by making it pearl.

there will not be a 2014 turbo version.

It's okay to have an opinion, but the color options for these cars are just fine....

In fact, every color option looks great.

You can wait and wait and wait and there will always be something better coming in the near future. If you like the car get it. Period. Then if you end up liking something else in a few years, then wait a few more years and there will be something else coming out to wait for. Who knows maybe you'll end up going from the BRZ to the new 240Z.

The only reason I'd wait for next year's model is if I wanted an STi or convertible

I just heard about the new 240Z coming out next year as a 2014 Year Model!! Patience is key! Even if it's not what you're looking for, then maybe we can try to get some sort of an upgrade to the FRS/BRZ twins from Scion / Subaru! I'm certainly gonna be waiting!
