Customer has CEL, we capture engine data for 5 minutes then perform the reflash and then capturer engine data for 5 miutes again and e-mail the file to SOA, they respond (usually within 10 minutes) and let us know if the data is good or bad. If it is good you are on your way...if it's still bad we order an ECU.

No CEL, we can't reflash.

Hope this helps!

What VIN ranges are affected?

My BRZ went in with a CEL after 1035 miles.

Originally SOA instructed the dealership to replace cam gears. After waiting for the parts for almost two weeks, SoA gave the dealership new instructions to flash the ECU instead.

Flashing did not solve the problem, so now I'm waiting for a new ECU. Car's been in the shop for almost three weeks.

Already fixed at the factory, w00t! Guess it's good that I waited a while.
