Actually she is another local frs owner here in AZ. She started with a brush then changed to using a toothpick and q tip. They came out great. Hopefully will be getting mine done soon. Got the g2 paint ready.

oh nice. she should start a business on here I'm sure a good amount of people would send them to her to get them painted for a fraction of the price of real JDM ones

As long as you prep them properly, it'll turn out great and last forever!

Sand them down nicely, clean them off, paint them with caliper paint, let it dry and apply a high-temp adhesive decal to your taste (or if you prefer nothing, that's cool too), then spray it all in clear coat for the finishing touch.

Not only does the clear coat makes the calipers look shinier... It also helps keeping it clean (much easier to clean off the brake dust and dirt buildup), and acts as bonding your adhesive decal with the paint.

Here's how it turned out for my MR-S...

P.S. I would like to also point out; if you are adding multiple layers of paint, do it cautiously as the thicker the paint you put on your calipers the less cooling effective they become...

Good luck! :happy0180:

Nice. You should look into getting some of Dev's keyhole plugs. They make a pretty big difference and are quite inexpensive.

DaJoian -- do you know where to get high-temp adhesive decals? I would like a Subaru or brz decal.

Hah, I remember seeing those on SpyderChat; and honestly was considering to buy them. I've sold the MR-S now because of the BRZ...

...Wish I could of kept them both...

I don't quite remember, but I either bought them off a community forum vendor or eBay...

Try this: http://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_trksi...at=0&_from=R40

Good luck! :happy0180:

Ahh. Yeah I hear ya. Well, enough thread drift from me. G2 paint is some good stuff. I have it on my MR-S along with my "Spyder" decals. I haven't been motivated enough to paint the calipers on the FR-S just yet. Maybe over the winter when it isn't so hot outside.
