No media to clean or clog up, we use a swirl pot design in conjunction with an internal labyrinth to separate the air from the oil.

Alright...So I move to have a Thread started with the BEST, Better, Good, and Junk Oil Catch cans?? I'm all over this thread and I'm not getting any hard core data?? The Moroso seems like the only resonable Street Usage (Price) catch can? Crawford...Way too much in my opinion for Daily Driver? Anyhow...who's down to help a guy out?? Looking $100-$150 Range? Baffled. Complete kit. I don't care about Billet? Chrome? Powder Coated? I just need to work!!

Thanks Folks!!

so why can't you just vent the gases/vapour to the air and put a little filter over the end of the pipe like I "may" have done on other cars?

are you guys trying to be environmentally conscious or does a certain pressure need to be maintained somewhere?

Wanted to resurrect this thread.

Using a catch can will help anyone who does track, autox or a heavy amount of wide open throttle. This is when oil is passed through the PCV system.

If you are driving for economy, very little oil will collect to the point it makes very little sense to use one.

I have used a Radium on my Lotus and Hyundai. Chose it not only because it was designed for track duty but because radium did PCV flow testing to make sure, air flow worked properly under vacuum. PCV systems are integral parts of engine design and many people seem to ignore or not understand how they work. Impede a PCV system and you can actually create engine problems over time along with drivability issues.

I would only use a can that was tested by companies who build the can specifically for the car or use it for track duty.

I am going to be doing a DIY with the Radium can this week.

I have a crawford one and have started getting a pretty loud vibration sound around 3500-4000 rpm. Does anyone else have this issue?

No vibrations here, but it's pretty new. I would check your bolts on the can mount?

Would catch cans also catch the oil from an over oiled air filter? Such as the cleanable life time air filters from k&n and perrin?

Just wondering because I have heard many people saying that they over oil their filters and it messes up the MAF

Nope. They filter the oil, fuel, and gunk out of your EGR not from the actual intake- before it goes into the TB/intake manifold.

I tried several catch cans before I fitted this Provent 200 to my TD.
No bling but German quality with a pressure relief valve and filter that really works, unlike the others I tried.

Looks nice, but I'm not a huge fan of ones with internal regulators and relief valves since those things can fail.
