My dealer actually called me today. I haven't had a call from my salesman for over a month. I've been emailing the brand manager behind the guy's back because my sales guy wasn't even returning my voicemails.

He told me my order is in, and once the car lands in BC they'll be able to enter it in the system and get a VIN and ETA for me.

*crosses fingers* If I'm lucky I'll have my car in the next 3-6 weeks.

Spotted my car's identical twin yesterday at the Costco. Thankfully I didn't have my car otherwise I would have parked beside and taken a few pictures. Might have been the same one FBaxteR-S spotted, actually.

If you guys had a meet during the week next week I'd drop by. I trek back to Toronto for the weekends so Fri-Sun are out.

Perhaps Saturdays might work better for some. Half of the year, I am on evenings; although, I have had overriding priorities for the last two weeks. Not that it is any guarantee of a bigger turn out, but, who knows - maybe.

Saturday and Sunday evenings always work better for me. If we're going to do a cruise it would have to be on a Sunday. I work every Saturday, and most evenings during the week.

This is a call out to Sal, Demandred, Mountainside, Harbinger of darkness, Hero, Scottish Jedi, FRbaxterS, and anyone else I'm forgetting.

Come on guys and girls, this will be the last chance to wring out your FR-S/BRZ on the GP track until next year.

Yes it's $300, but that half the price of Timmies for a month. And you get more of a rush!

Take a day off work (you have sick days to use right). Grab your helmet and let's have some fun!

I really wish I could. I even went up to Toronto with the family shoe horned into the car to add mileage, but, still have a little over 500 km before break in is complete and it seems unlikely that I will be able to put enough on before then. I am also double whammied with being on night shift with my department understaffed - sick days are not an option that I would feel comfortable with unless legitimately sick. Damn I wish I could go. If anyone goes that has the ability to do some video, I will have to live vicariously through you on this one. How far in advance do they plan the events? I will be interested in next year. By the way, being a noob, what does a helmet run for?

Motorcycle (M rated) are generally cheaper than the special application (SA) - just make sure that it's Snell approved (all sanctioned bodies in the country won't allow just DOT rated helmets). My guess is Ms start at around $100-$150, where the SAs start at $250-$300. Best is to go visit motorcycle shops or other places like JRP that have helmets in stock so you can test the fitment, visibility, etc.

I was going to get a GoPro, but it's not in the budget right now.

I got my helmet at Royal Distributing just down the street from the dealership. Lots of selection. Mine was $109 if I remember correctly. It's about $20 less when you get a solid colour instead of funky patterns. Mine is just plain black. It's the HJC CL-16 which is DOT and Snell 2010 certified.

I'll be doing the Blackvue install in the DIY section (http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16300). Cheap as far as mods go, and I'd rather have evidence in case of an accident, which I imagine in 99% of cases would be in my favour. Also, if I ever took it on a track, I'd have 1080p playback.

Plus I really want people to hear my commute singing.

Edit: Just pulled the trigger on eBay. I gotta stop buying stuff for a car I don't even have an ETA for yet.
