lol. well...that is back on topic.

And to go back off topic from your previous comment, KW's (or other quality dampers) aren't just for people who want to track their car. They are for people who want good ride quality as well.

If you don't care about ride quality as much as you do the look and just want to lower your car, then these D2/Ksport/whatever else they are branded as, will be fine.

The D2s are definitely stiff... you will be sacrificing a plush ride with these bad boys, but I have had a long line of lowered cars and have no back problems so I am fine with it.

Combined with a 40-series front tire, I can tell you if I drove over a penny! This doesn't bother me and it was totally expected based on the specs of the coilover and my previous experience driving lowered cars. Because the car was so low I ran it with the adjustable compression settings at maximum stiffness in order to avoid bottoming the bumper (or lower cross-member) on speed bumps and potholes. I will run at maximum stiffness for another 100 miles or so until I get used to the feel and then move to maximum "softness" in order to feel the other extreme setting, before deciding where in the spectrum I would like to keep it for daily driving. Changing the compression rate is as easy as popping the hood and inserting one of the four included custom allen wrenches.

I have been driving with the front end lowered 2 1/4" until I raised it 1/2" yesterday to avoid chewing up my bottom bumper on driveways. Raising the car was a simple affair. I removed the two front wheels, loosened the lowest locking collar and then used the included wrench to turn the entire spring/strut assembly. It took me about five minutes for each side and when I was done I could actually make it out of my driveway without leaving an Asphalt-colored stripe.

I will be driving the car 700 miles on a road trip in the next week, so expect my 1000 miles entry to come along fairly soon.

Updated.

I'm very happy with the value of these coilovers. I still have no issues at all with them, other than the fact that the ride is very stiff. Of course, I've got the car pretty low so a stiff ride is a must so I'm not dipping my bumper into the street every 30 seconds.

I've definitely gotten sideways with these and I have no complaints. I have the front pair on full soft for a little better ride, but I still have the rears set at full stiff. I'm going to adjust the rears to full soft for a few days to see if they feel much different, then I'll set both of them somewhere in the middle, probably.

The real test will be how these fare after winter. Will they be rusted? Will I still be able to adjust them easily? We'll see.

Just to chime in here, I also have the Ksports. I am taking my car in for an alignment tomorrow and hope to have Max camber(also Maxs caster) and slight toe out in front and shooting for-1* of camber in the back but I am more worried about the rear toe with my Cusco lower control arms. Shooting for zero toe.

I will be driving the car to Chicago and driving a drift event there and driving back. So we will see how I like the car after another 1500 miles

I have d2 RS coilovers on my Acura integra had them for about two years I avoid big potholes but occasionally you hit a big one...they have held up beautifully, I know you will be happy with them they are awesome, we also just ought a set of their track coilovers for my brothers mk3 supra and stiff is an understatement....and I have driven mine a couple times in the snow all though I don't like to, no rust had them for two years so I think you'll be happy

Still completely happy with my set. 10,000 miles on them and not a single issue. I haven't yet changed the ride height, but plan to do so soon. Will update again once I have done that.
