Lol I've crashed it twice at the race track going faster than 70mph... Because i swap off the street fairing for race fairings the damage was minimal. Race fairings are meant to be scratched up. If they aren't you are nothing but a newb.

Honda's latest styling isn't working, but something like an S2000 chassis under a smaller Altima coupe-ish body would get my attention.

he! he! he! interesting point, but "barring" incredible development costs
associated with a ''special" build, honda certainly has the considerable resources,AND engineering talent to do it themselves!..just sayin'

This is actually one of the reasons I'm not in a hurry to get an FR-S. In a few years, who knows how other manufacturers, especially one with roots like Honda, could make to compete.

That's assuming they get off their lazy, uninspired ass though.

yeah it's always possible they may not bother, and just "pitch"
the market to toyota/subaru.to be honest, they don't have to get involved,
got tons of money, and don't forget,we are talkin' a very limited market anyway!

I own a 99 Prelude SH and love that car, wanted to buy an S2000 before the FRS came in but all the ones I saw were not in 100% original condition, thought about selling my lude when bought the FRS but I kept it as my second car. The FRS is with no doubt more fun to drive but the lude takes me to the beach and to places that Im not comfortable taking the FRS... If Honda brings a S2000 back to the market I would buy it without any hesitation after paying my FRS in 6 yrs! lol

Yeah, but with a boring lineup, they might have a hard time attracting the next generation of consumers. And that'd be devastating.

Cars like the FR-S are meant to make new, loyal consumers and get them into showrooms. Sure some people got into Toyota because of their Prius but what does Honda even have when it comes to hybrids? lol.

That would make for some SERIOUS competition. Nissan with their next gen 200SX/S16 Silvia and Honda using the same platform for a RWD Integra/RSX
