Looks like there's some new competition...

Source: http://www.autoblog.com/2012/01/09/w...ross-flag-emb/

Looks like Chevy wants to dabble in this market. I can't say that I like the look of it, but then again I don't even like the FR-S or BR-Z all that much. IMO, they all seem a bit bland and I really don't see me buying one anytime soon.

Anyways, thought I'd give you guys the heads up just in case anyone wants to jump ship for this turd of an automobile Chevy wants to bring into production.

The autoblog article that you linked to doesn't actually tell you anything about the car in question. Try this one instead:

http://www.autoblog.com/2012/01/09/c...-detroit-2012/

"Under the hood of the Code 130R, a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine delivers 150 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque, and an eAssist system lends an electric hand when needed. The Code 130R also boasts either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. With a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, the Code 130R would offer buyers an engaging drive and design in an economical and affordable package, if it were ever built.

While purely a concept at this stage, GM says a production version would likely carry a price tag of around $25,000. That would put the sports car in perfect fighting range with the likes of the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S should the Code 130R Concept ever make it to the factory floor."

How do they think 150hp will compete with 200hp?
But if those weigh 2500lb and can produce 40mpg I might be interested.

And actual enthusiasts don't consider people with such a narrowminded view on the automotive world to be true enthusiasts.

When you can give credit where credit is due then you'll be an enthusiast, until then you're nothing but a fanboy.

I like.

love the 1.4 turbo's too, good economy but still capable of good HP when raising the boost.

That's your definition but not mine. It's o.k. that we don't agree.

Eh, rather get a V6 Mustang, or GenCoupe...

Though if this is under 20k, this becomes an interesting car in the compact range..
