But the dragon is such that you don't have to go really fast to have a good time. Even if you're doing 35mph the entire way, the turns are fun, and there are more turns than straights. Hooning/Drifting is probably not a good idea on the road, but it's heaven for standard cornering.

And if you get a chance to do it at speed, it is intense. It spikes your adrenaline and requires endurance. It's the best rollercoaster I've ever been on.

Route 555 in Ohio, between Zanesville and Parkersburg. Great driver's road, and its not well-known, so plenty of open road to enjoy.

There's a Rt. 26 nearby as well, that is not as agressive, but just as fun and a bit more scenic.

The best thing about the Dragon is that it draws motorcycle and car clubs from all over the east coast so there is almost always something interesting to see. Ironically, that is also what is bad about it. Traffic, asshat wannabee racers and heavy police patrols can limit your enjoyment. At least they have redirected the majority of the big rigs to other routes this year.

My current favorite twistie road in Ohio is State Route 26 between Woodsfield and Marietta. 46.6 miles of fairly smooth pavement. Very little traffic. Virtually no law enforcement vehicles. It is a challenge just to drive it at the posted speed limits of 45-55 MPH.

This was the most fun roads I've ever driven. Took my Nismo 370Z there a few months ago. Came with new tires. Left with bald and metal tires.

Took the FR-S through Tail of the Dragon a couple months ago on my way to Import Alliance. It was my first time on that road. Damn it's twisty! Hella dangerous too. Semis get navigated there by GPS a lot and once they're on the road, there's no turning back. They have to take up two lanes to negotiate most of the turns. It's fun when there's no one blocking the way though!

Found the road that I was talking about that runs parallel with the Blue Ridge Parkway! It's NC Hwy 221. Runs from Virginia all the way through the NC Mountains. Super fun road. But don't tell your friends about it!
