FR-S + Drift Roads = EPIC
Although my fr-s only has about 480 miles on it I decided to go tear around some canyons today (which was awesome by the way) I ended up running out of road and getting onto a super curvy dirt road. I decided to just keep driving on it and turn off all the driving aids. Once I did that I just drifted every single turn and was able to get completely sideways only going about 20mph or so. I will say that this car is way more fun on dirt than it is on pavement, it was absolutely stunning and brilliant. I was a bit worried about getting rock chips on the bumper but there was no such issue. Perhaps the most fun was having to do a u-turn at an intersection where I just left it in second and did a super long sweeping drift to be heading the other direction. Love this car!!

Enjoy, but you will have to beware of chips sooner or later.

Unless someone was in front of you there will be no chips on the bumper. Take a look behind your front and rear tires near the ground.

It's not the bumpers that suffer from gravel hooning. It's rocker panels, lower door panels and the area directly behind the wheels.

I did and it was totally fine, though I'm thinking about adding some custom aluminum plating on the bottom or something for just that purpose.

Does this make anyone else cringe? My car has never even been rained on.
I've detailed cars that frequently drive on dirt roads and it seems to be impossible to get all the dirt out.

![]() I guess we all take care of our cars differently, I've also averaged about 34mpg so I don't quite torture it. |
