Subaru planned to sell 6000 cars in USA this year. Mine had a serial number in 3000, and I got it in mid August. So they sold at least half of planned amount already. I can imagine that another half can go to southern states, and even then there will be not enough of these cars to sit freely on dealers lots.

And not everyone gets this car's as a weekender. I plan to drive all year around and already ordered snow tires. Others may do the same.

It's completely your choice between purchase & wait VS. wait and purchase - drive.

if there are plenty of stock available in spring then, you'll have no wait time but if it's like a situtation we're in right now then, you might just not cancel and wait.
