Got two of the 32GB San Disks, one for my brz and one for the wifes mustang. So much easier than having to plug our phones in!
I can't get the BRZ Nav to see any playlists though, so that sucks. Anyone have luck with that? BTW the Ford Sync simply dominates these cars voice activated stuff. Disappointing coming from a Japanese company and all.

I've had less than stellar success using thumb drives in my wife's SYNC-equipped '12 Fusion. On the artists/songs it recognizes my speech for it works great, some artists/songs it doesn't recognize my speech no matter how I pronounce it, and it is virtually unplayable unless I scroll through the whole drive song by song or folder by folder, and on a large thumb drive that can take a long time to do manually, especially while I'm driving.

I'm sitting here loading up one of the SanDisk 32G one's now to use in my FR-S!
One thing though, just reading through the manual for the Pioneer stock unit it seems it suffers from what a lot of headunits do, lack of effort on the programmer's part. Seems like every cellphone in the world any more has a decent MP3 player built into it that can select by Artist/Genre/Album/etc. Why in the world don't basic headunits that can play MP3s do that without me having to "organize" the music for them? Am I just missing something?

BRZ Owners(separating because its a different radio):
I bought http://www.walmart.com/ip/PNY-32GB-M...Drive/20659844 which seems like a nice little drive, but occasionally it will get in a mode that the car will not read it. This generally happens after I put new files on it, if I can get it to read once then it will read fine until I put new files on it. Has anyone else had this happen? Was wondering if it is just my USB drive or if it is a known issue. If you have had this happen, do you know of anyway get it out of this mode? |

Did that, unfortunately still no good. I tried the exact same MiniSD in a different USB reader and it worked with the car's headunit, so the media itself is fine. I'll try a different MiniSD to see if it's a combination of the MiniSD + Elago.
The Elago itself is awesome - I use it as a thumbdrive to carry work stuff around. RebornS14, which MiniSD do you use with the Elago in the BRZ? |

![]() The one I have is a Sandisk Class4 32GB. Maybe I'll pick up a Samsung Class 10 and see how that fares, I could use it in my DLSR anyway. |

I have a 16gb sandisk with alot of music on it. When I put it in the bespoke does recognize it but it just continues to say "searching USB" and never lets me play anything on it. Anyone seen this before? Do I have to reformat the usb drive perhaps?
