Put a deposit down for a GTS man at the end of June. Dealer didn't contact me about even a tracking number in the first month. Decided look at the BRZ and discovered I actually preferred it. Got one in the online sale. Pick it up tomorrow.

I only ordered in mid Aug and the dealer said that with their allocations i should be able to get one by Christmas (White GTS MT). I accepted that as I hadn't looked around on forums much prior and thought maybe Regional Dealers did get allocations which could mean I would get it sooner that a large Metro dealer.
Anyway, put my deposit down and now see all these reports of huge waits.
On the positive side, maybe they will bring in a running change and the car I finally get will have some extra spec to the current one's. (rather than a spec reduction a'la spare wheel) maybe reversing sensors/camera or something. hehe

Even though this thread is referring to W.A 86 orders, I got a bad feeling straight away, even though I'm in QLD, and as predicted I got an email from my salesman telling me the same damn thing about my order! I just want the pain to end already.

Still havnt had my dealer actually call or communicate to me once yet. A month after placing a deposit I called and asked whats the update. Then a few weeks later I dropped in as I was near.

I had no phone call yet from Galleria so while I was there ordering parts I decided to checke the status on my car. Currently I am first (according to the order list shown) in line there with a small list of people behind me. November is my production date but its subject to change (hopefully it will be confirmed in the coming month). Originally going to be November, then early december but it will probably be January.

I did order 4days before FT-86GOD so only time will tell if 4days was all it took to shift production to next year... :/

Pretty sure the dealership I'm with knows nothing and finds out about things after the internet does.... Nice enough bloke though...

That's what you get for buying a Toyota, they are 10 years past being able to handle anything more than hilux and camrys.

I got a good deal on my Aero.... I leave for Japan in November so now i have $40grand for parts which does make me happy.....

I spat the dummy too, will pm u my story, am bit worried, unlike u i have been "allocated" one for arly nex year but still speculation, u should just stay in man, i know ur pain alot as mine was incorrectly ordered initially in march so i saw m y car drive right out the door....bastards....
