Those aren't real leather; they're an "green" fake leather. I would guess the quality is probably pretty good though, knowing SARD.

That is good to know. I had been checking their website but wasn't seeing anything. I'll have to see what I think of the stock seat material, but after seeing it in person I do think I'll eventually go with leather. I wanted to do that in my current car, just never had the scratch...

Another thing I'm waiting for is to see if Clazzio comes out with seat covers, the ones they have for other Scions are actually really nice.

The dealership near me has a floor car for show only (not for sale) Red FR-S. They added the 5 piece kit w/ spoiler, BUT I also saw that they added two tone black/red leather seats (front & back) with the 86 emblem. They quoted me $1799.00 Is this a reasonable price or am I better off looking elsewhere?

Im just curious... Do the katzkin fr-s seats have the exact same side bar support as the OEM ones? I would hate to lose the feeling of the OEM seats.

its just the fabric. the seat itself just doesnt change

I will go against the current and say that I have yet to see an aftermarket leather application that looked as good as oem. They just dont get the same fitment and you can tell.

Yeah, I guess that is what Tripjammer is showing us.

However, a lot might have to do with the installer e.g. this install looks very OEM

The Katzkin leather stuff is good. You can't get OEM leather on the FR-S, this is the best way to go...Katzkin for the win!

If i had a FR-S, I would spend the $800 - $1200 and get the full leather interior.

When I was look at tC's I saw one with a perfect fit, but the FR-S I saw with the same brand and installer wasn't as nice. The car is new, maybe they'll improve the fit as time goes on but I agree that the Katzkins in the twins looks "puffy" as another poster called it in another thread.

The one I saw in person actually had the center piece in the middle where your back is with too much cushioning, while the drivers seat was flat in the same spot, just like the stock seats. In that case I'd say the install went poorly rather than the fit, but the fit still doesn't look as good as their tC stuff which they have had years to perfect.
