We've been through this already in John's E-85 tune thread and others. There have been no reported issues whatsoever as to any FT86 running E-85 with John's tune. John had Cosworth or another highly-reputable shop pull the fuel filter and fuel lines on one of the E-85 BRZ/FR-S testers after some good mileage on the tune and found no issues.
Sure, no one has run a BRZ for that far beyond 10k miles at this point I'd imagine, so we don't have the access to long-term testing data yet. Empirically speaking, from the testing performed to date, no problems have been reported and there are multiple users on this forum with John's E-85 tune. Generally modifying your car in any fashion involves certain risks, including the risk of unknown unknowns and possible risk of failure. This is not my first rodeo with respect to modding or E-85 with Subies. So far, I have had zero issues with my Stage 1 tune. I'm currently waiting for my E-85 tune. As soon as I get that, I'll post with some thoughts and eventually some long-term impressions. A little skepticism is always warranted, but excessive skepticism is no fun.

Page 420 states that 91 AKI may be used if 93 AKI is unavailable.

Do you gain any performance just tuning the car and setting it up for E85 without actually turbo charging it?

I hope everything Subaru tells us not to do gets its own thread.

Yes sir. Visconti's E85 tune is netting about 35whp on a stock BRZ/FRS, while nearly eliminating the torque dip. I have the 93 tune so far, and that itself is a bit more powerful. I can't wait to have the E85 tune! I can give you a ride if you want to feel the POWA!

Haven't had the E85 tune running long but can tell you the engine sounds / feels infinitely happier. Feels like a lower compression engine while keeping the efficiency. Serious power gains as well. Haven't data logged yet, but can tell by sound that knock correction is way down, especially when hitting the throttle in the low-mid rpm range. It's really hard to explain just how much better this engine is on E85 without experiencing it. I was uncomfortable at times with how closely it rode the edge of knocking, had that fat man in a little jacket feeling. Not on E85.
