I might as well update...on Friday, my dealer mentioned parts would be ready to go today. Of course, parts are now backordered and ETA is unknown.

What I'm really concerned about is resale value. If this fix shows up on a carfax, you know people are gonna back out. Anyone have experience with how the carfax reports correlate to warranty work? I think someone was saying they only show accident damage, but I thought I remember seeing service history on a car report in the past as well...
they indicate that warranty work was done if it is reported by the dealer. Don't think it says what type though.

I basically told the guy I would only accept one of two options. If they insist that I keep the car, I want a full Toyotacare Premium warranty and compensation for the month that I was unable to drive the car, including insurance fees, refilling the gas they used to test the car, and a payment to the bank. Otherwise I'd rather have a replacement car if they need to finish assembling this one. Good luck to them selling it as a "new" car. I didn't pay 26k for a lego set.

It turns out I knew a guy in the service department. I took the car in as is and they had no problem taking it. They just needed me to bring in the stock intake also for testing purposes. I hope it doesn't take too long . I miss her already.

Can you tell me which dealership you took it into? I've got the same CEL issue Trying to find a local dealership that's had experience getting this fixed. Thanks!

So 9 days after I dropped off my car at the dealer, the Cam Sprocket fix didn't work. Subaru technical support closes at 5 eastern so they will have to wait until tomorrow to know what other parts to order. I sent an email to corporate notifying them of my displeasure but we will see how far that gets me. I also told them I know about all the other parts that are being used to fix this problem, so I hope they don't try to keep doing this one part at a time B.S. Not impressed with the whole Subaru experience so far.

I'm in the camp of waiting for a formal bulletin on this issue before signing for a +25k vehicle. Does anybody know how other parts (Japan, Europe) are dealing with this issue?

There's a formal bulletin for a range of CEL codes under TSB 02-132-12. The recommendation is to replace the camshaft sprocket. There seem to be other issues at the moment though so that TSB may not resolve the issue for everyone. There is an instance where someone said that a newer ECU resolved their issue as well.

Scion FR-S owners: the Scion customer service number is 1-866-707-2466. You can call and set up a case through them directly. They contacted me after I sent an email to them via their online contact form, Scion HQ called me back the next day with a case manager and a case number. My dealer is having no luck fixing my issues, yet (A/C chirp, idle chirp, rear deck tapping, passenger one-touch fail).

However, I only just took my car to the dealer today who informed me that Toyota's aware of these issues and is working on fixes for all of them. Hmmm. Hopefully, if enough of us get cases with Scion and Subaru, we'll get a fix faster.

Subaru BRZ Owners: Try using Subaru's contact form for a similar case setup maybe? Unfortunately, I do not know their customer service number.

It's at the bottom of the form you linked:

I wish I was Primo. Its very frustrating and you would have thought that these issues would have been found before they started mass producing these cars. Where is the quality control?!?! I bet that most of the cars that are seeing the idle dip only and no CEL will eventually get worse and eventually have the same problems.
