Cusco Overbore Throttle Body

Has anyone picked this up yet, or know what the gains are? I've been hearing some good things about throttle response so i was curious.

$1500 is a lot for a 2mm increase...
Maybe when people start experimenting with cams and the like. At present i can't really see a need for it except for bragging rights.

Where did you hear about throttle response for this application? I have not seen any reviews or mentions of it used on an FR-S anywhere.

Hell, could be free if you take them up on their current promotion.

Mhhmm. This could be a good thing. But that means disassembling for pics, and if he takes on the job, you're without a TB for a few days. And then there's the unknown.

That's how the system will react. It's not like you can find a used one right now as that's what most have done in the past with established vehicles that have been around for a while. Some have even upgraded to a different one. Like the Toyota version to a Lexus version that was compatible.
Not sure if this TB is similar and/or an exact match for previous Subaru boxers.

So new....

Does anyone know the bore size of the throttle body? was thinking about doing what the TC guys are doing, using the RX8 throttle body.

QFT!! I am sure there are some minor gains to be had with an otherwise (mostly?) stock car, but you won’t see larger gains until you start playing with bigger cams, higher revs, etc.

I remember hearing that the stock TB was already the size of the STI TB. I don't think we'll need anything larger w/o FI or head work.

$1500+ is highway robbery. We get 5 axis CNC spiral ported throttle bodies for the Camaros for $150. I am not real familiar with a lot the manufacturers in this segment of the automotive aftermarket but I am getting the feeling Cusco is the equivalent of Granatelli for the V8 guys.

It's so funny how everyone asks for dyno charts. I have just been wondering since when have people dyno every part sold. Reality is larger throttle body's areused with other mods and tuned. So you will never really see any difference in hp unless you tune your car with it on and at that point hp can change due to tune spec. If you don't want a larger throttle body that's fine but to ask for a dyno is pretty pointless.

This is a bad idea. The drive by wire is finicky enough as it is already. This will only make things worse!
