I have a the cricket chirp in my car, and if they can fix it, great. But it wouldn't stop me from buying this car in the first place.
Good for you.

3. Rear deck tapping (using TAS #122230369 for the repair)
4. Buzz in passenger door when speaker plays bass

I will definitely be back to update everyone with the dealer results. I'm in Vancouver, Washington, so it will be interesting to see what kind of service the Pacific Northwest offers.
I believe that there are some internal wires in the door panel that weren't suppressed for sound or bound together properly. I had rattle like this in my driver side and the dealer added some sound insulation and it dampened it a bit but you can still hear the buzz/rattle. This is a factory defect IMO (I've seen multiple posts with this issue).

I have this noisy transmission too. My other car is an '07 Toyota Yaris hatchback, and it never made any of these noises. The noise on my FR-S is most noticeable at low speeds(duh) between 1st and 2nd. The first few days I had it I seriously considered taking it to the dealer because I thought something was wrong with it. Since the car had 120 miles on it when I bought it, I thought maybe the dealers were using it for joyrides and were abusive with it. I never did take it in, though. I made sure to stay below 4000 rpm during the break-in, but if a few asshats were in it before me and treated her bad, how would I know? I guess I could go to the dealership and see if they have a brand new one I could listen to and compare. We'll see.

First off, you need to realize that these cars have very minimal insulation. You're sitting basically right next to the transmission and the noises the vibration comes right through the car and is easily heard inside. Where the front-wheel-drive Yaris has a cable shifter and the noise and vibrations are not transmitted into the cabin of the car. All the mechanical noises and feedback you hear and feel are what you should get in a sports car.
Not much is isolated from the driver.. Which is a good thing in this type of car..

Sorry, this is my 4th 'first year' ~$25K Subaru and even at 1200 miles by far has the most issues.

Not at all surprised, since every other "brand new first year Subaru" in the past has always had some design overlap with previous models.

The ZC6 is new from the ground up in every way possible and I'm not surprised by problems.
