Conclusion...the CEL/SL is doing nothing to alter the cars performance power wise. Thanks @virtual_bob at Drift Office for the great service! Now its time to give the car up to the dealership...

Edit: Corrected image URL and here is a bonus pic!

Very interesting, it feels like it half power and lags getting there. Glad you did this.

They cleared the CEL before i left...stopped at a light a block away and went to pull away...and felt like half power, looked down and already back on...so the "feeling" cant be explained by loss of power.

When my CEL came on, the car went into "limp-home mode", with a 4000 RPM rev limit. Maybe it depends what triggered the CEL. Mine was an inability of the network CPU to communicate with the display CPU.

My original post concerning this: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8925

Just in for Subaru Owners. SUBARU Service Bulletin: 02-132-12 dated today explains the procedure for the P0019 and other codes... Explicit intstructions on how to fix/duplicate/Troulbleshoot along with warranty times.. not sure if this Bulletin covers the Scion side of the house...

Advise from my dealer...Drive it until the light comes on again...bring it in..and they will fix it...

Just a note here that some of us have had issues and the CEL has not come on. Although my dealership was able to pull some data which still indicated the engine had stalled (AT). Then last week it ran like real crap one morning, no power and felt like it was missing. It sorted itself out eventually, but still no CEL. Also, some mornings when driving to work it feels like the drive train is dragging inbetween transmission shifts. I feel like I'm slightly lurching forward..

The car can be jekyl and hyde. Smooth and runs great most of the time, just not all the time.

Will keep you guys posted! And NO our baby is only barely 550 miles young and only Shell with V-tech because we are in SoCal!!
I also am in Temecula and bought my whiteout FR-S at Temecula Toyota. I'm getting to the point now where I'm about to start making demands. My FR-S has been there since last Friday and as of noon today, they still don't even have an ETA for the parts. I'm tired of driving the 14MPG Dodge Ram. Especially since I commute to San Diego (Coronado) everyday. I only drove my car for about 24 hours before the CEL came on. I'm fed up. Corporate is involved but they don't seem to be doing anything either. Does anyone know what kind of legal options I have? I don't want to be paying for a car that I can't drive. I understand about first year issues and I expected some but this is incredibly frustrating. I've already had to miss 2 events that I had planned for this car.

We called Scion on Monday and got a case number! Scion called us back today but they had no idea either. Toyota of Escondido told us they are waiting for the part from Scion and when the part comes they will call us! Just made my first payment n insurance on the car but we barely took four trips with it

Still without my car, losing confidence that anybody really knows what they're doing, and beginning to think I may not have my car back this week after all. Should have known better.

What's worse is that I'm really feeling like if I don't micromanage the process by calling the dealer and corporate every day, nothing will get done. This is turning in to a frustratingly large demand on my time. I wonder how far I'd be right now if I hadn't been assertive...Based on what I can see of their approach to customer service, Subaru must really rely on people giving up and rolling over dead out of frustration.

I'm a little too stubborn for that.

Anyway, a little over a week without my car now, I think.

Third week for me. I've done my own digging and I've found that basically the techs lack the knowledge to fix the cars, coupled with the fact that Toyota and Subaru want to keep the repair attempts to a minimum to prevent bad press.

The local Dealership diagnosed my car without contacting Scion Corp. the first time, they ended up with a stern lecture and orders not to make any changes to the car without prior approval.

It really is a "Beta" experience in these territories where the car was not extensively tested it would seem. Not to mention the longer they keep the car, the more useful it is as a test bed for them. I already assume that the service techs are out there beating the shit out of mine, but I guess it's to be expected.
