They are limited production, but not limited edition.

I wouldn't get so worked up, 99.9% chance that they add hidden fees and bring it back to where it should be.
This is an advertising gimmick, /thread. |

That said, I agree that we'll be seeing the car sell at less than MSRP if Subaru increases their production run for 2014 (or maybe they revise their strategy and decide to increase the 2013 run). It'll be particularly harder to sell this car when winter hits. |

I've never known Lustine to pull that sort of BS either. My car was sold to me at MSRP, plus destination and dealer fee. No added options I didn't want, and no "market adjustment" crap.
I've bought two cars from them (tC and FR-S), and my GF bought her xB2 there... they've always been great to deal with.

It is called a bait and switch and is illegal. There is a reason they have that one at that price, demo or who knows? But for them to post that price then tell you the sale price is higher, would be illegal. If there are additional fees, that is different, but I don't know where they will find 2k extra fees.

Wow that is cheap. Back when I was looking for a scion xd my dealer told me that they can sell their cars for under msrp but every single car on their lot must have the exact same discount (and they did do this in the future with the tc). So they might not be trying to f people over.

I know it's seems to good to be true but there was a point in time when Toyota oozed quality and made some bulletproof cars. It's still a lot better than Subaru.

I would be skeptical. However, if this was a price I could get at my local dealer (and tack on a $1000 college grad rebate), I would probably have to stop holding out and grab one.
Here's a listing on their site: http://www.lustinescion.com/new/Scio...seHistory=true As previously mentioned, maybe they were demo cars? I see a few other cars priced below MSRP as well: http://tinyurl.com/8r7oz4h So it's possible. I'll be interested to hear how this turns out. |
