BRZ cheaper than FRS???

I've been wondering this for a while now...
the BRZ is only like $500 more than the FRS but you get better lights, navy etc. soooo knowing that Scion doesn't haggle with their
prices it sounds like you could easily get a BRZ from a Subaru dealer for less than the scion? (obviously once all the hype has calmed down)

has anybody experience this?

My friend got his limited for $3k more out the door with an extended warranty than I paid for my frs with the basic warranty. They will move on prices.

BRZ cost more MSRP wise.... since its essentially the luxury version of the FRS.

For someone just walking in to buy, they are probably about the same considering Scion dealers like to throw in some accessories. But if you order base it should be cheaper.

Not one of these threads again...

The price of the BRZ does NOT include the destination fee whereas the Scion does.

You also won't be able to find many, if any dealers willing to sell for under MSRP on the BRZ.

The Subaru invoice is higher than Scion MSRP, and Truecar estimates that BRZ dealer cost is more than a thousand over the FR-S. Assuming neither car was supply restricted, I think the safe bet is that the BRZ would still generally sell for hundreds more than the FR-S at current brand pricing.

Come this winter or in the 2014 model year, the bRZ will be cheaper than the FR-S. You just got to be willing to wait. Plus maybe the Subaru VIP pricing will hit the BRZ.

It is. But the OP obviously saw the BRZ price without the destination because the difference is around $1300, not the $500 the OP said. The $800 difference is the missing destination fee.

Really, it wasn't that hard to decipher.

Pure price is a scam. Just pretend it doesn't exist.
