Well, I'm currently stuck at work so my brother is taking him the keys. I get off in about 2hrs so I'll update this again. Hopefully nothing else goes wrong.

Quick update. Just the call and they can't get the keys re-coded so I will have to wait till tomorrow to get the car back. *sigh*

Why would the dealer have so much trouble with this?

My ECU is on backorder and they have no idea when it will come in.

I stopped in on a random saturday and it took 2 hrs. Walnut creek toyota california. Idk why there is so much issue

Alright. Damn stealership. Kept the car for a day and a half and they still didn't/couldn't take off the DRL. Not going to waste more time with them. Ugh. Anyone in the NorCal area can recommend me a dealership that can do it?

My dealer said they are still waiting on the ECU.

I find that odd because they said it was in CA when I went in on July 26th. No suddenly there cant locate one and there isnt an ETA on it.

base on experience

and because all my buddies with the same issue ordered their ecu and got them within 3 days

no waiting and back orders

and yes the person ordering your part is wrong

Does anyone know the actual TSB number? So far they said they would look into it when I mentioned wanting my DRL turned off and key fob mods.

Hi.

I have a BRZ Limited. Went to the dealer today (hate going to the dealer). Luckily they were really cool and didn't know shit about shit. But, I worked with a young tech Chris and we hooked up a laptop and then another box to the car. We successfully extended the time the headlights were on after an lock from 30 to 60 seconds, but we were not able to increase the sensitivity to auto turn on (shorter time) the headlights. In fact, we tried to do that, but then one of the fog lights turned off instead. Sooooooooo, any idea how I can tweak these settings on my BRZ?

so after reading this thread can someone clarify, by completing the TSB/DRL disable (or turning off) some people have said you lose the full use of your High Beams?

So if i turn off the DRL at the dealership...the high beams wont be on as soon as i put the car in drive... but if i need to use my high beams up a dark winding road.. they wont work? someone know this or have done the drl can chime in
