I told him that although i thought it was BS that not only was i not being taken care of as a customer who just purchased a brand new car but Toyota doesn't want to take care of me as an employee either I would wait, so he told me to give him a call in a week when he got back from vacation to get a good ETA on my ECU. Just thought you guys should all know.

again he doesn't know what he's talking about. toyota has a lot of them in stock and they are not back ordered!

thye just dont know how to order it properly

I tried to have the new ecu installed this week, wanting the window feature but after he installed, it wouldn't start so he put back the old. There for 4 hours not .04 listed for changeout. Now wtf the window feature doesn't exist after all this? So what is/was the point of the new ecu? Would love for someone to post the real possibilities. Also, just wondering, found some tech streamer cables/ software on eBay for around 30, any word on quality, usability?

that wont go through with toyota.

toyota will reject that order since your VIN does not qualify

service rep can order the part and it will say processed and will give you an ETA on their system but toyota will just cancel it since it is a controlled item

did the rep even open a warranty claim?

I'm not sure. I went in there and handed him the TSB. He pulled the car into the shop and looked at it for about 30min. Came back and said that my ECU didn't have the options so they had to order one for me from LA. I'll update on Tuesday.

funny thing is you can still turn off the DRL with the old ECU using techstream

they didn't hook it up with techstream im sure they just guessed
