I really hope they change their minds.
The Cobb is such a good option for those in rural areas that do not have a local tuner, plus the other cool features the AP offers. |

I do not understand fuel pressure or flow, mass air levels, mixing of the two, compression settings ETC ETC ETC. I am ok with not being able to tune it myself because this is a real car and not something I am dinking around with in GT5 or Forza. I am happy with the price I paid for my flash and I am getting some wicked features out of it - pays for itself for sure.

I'm with Goku. I could buy an E-Manage Ultimate and PNP harness for a car for less.

I ran into this with my AEM, while it was nice to be able to do some stuff I still couldnt do a full tune on my own sitting in the garage. The other thing is if you dont have a local tuner you can still do datalogging and email tunes. So for me with the current group buy 750 isnt terrible for the product just a tad bit high, tho you have a tuner with a lot of capability. |

I ran an AP on my 2006 OBXT 5MT and the Ecutek is a more powerful tuning interface. I'll be able to report more first-hand in a few days. Also, keep in mind a big part of the price is the Ecutek-specific OBD2-to-USB cable. If you have a buddy or another local who has one, you can save a bunch just buying the software license and tune. You just can't use the group buy if you go that route. |

Not sure how many people are capable of tuning a car through software and not being able to screw up your car by messing with the ECU.
