Cobb Accessport / Products, update fr Ian @ Cobb

Not sure if this has been posted, but as I've owned 4 WRX/STi I get the Cobb Newsletter and inquired about future BRZ/FR-S products / Accessport.

Ian from Cobb shared they just got a BRZ at the shop and are beginning parts development. " The ECU Tuning they are still Investigating. Updates will come soon and they will post in newsletter "

I just noticed earlier today that they added the BRZ and FR-S to their website. Here's hoping for strong Accessport support.

they have a customer right here when/if it comes out!

Just don't expect the same yields you do with turbo cars.

id be happy if it gave 5-10whp. its just nice to have a device that monitors/logs engine sensors, reads/clears trouble codes, and will probably add launch controll and flat foot shifting.

Can't wait!

I could definitely see gains in that mid range torque loss which appears to be tuneable from what i read..but 5 whp peak is what i would expect

not ditching the ap as I've owned two but all the parameter data is easily viewed and logged by other means like cable/pc and the torque app which i like to use

The AP reads directly from ECU RAM addresses instead of requesting universal OBD parameters. Thus isn't confined. It can read more stuff assuming the ECU is reverse engineered sufficiently. Of course most people wouldn't take advantage of that.

AccessPORT is def interesting to hear for the BRZ/FR-S.

Would love that. Even most NA car can gain a solid 10whp from tuning. I wouldn't be surprised with 15-20

Goals:

-Get Rid of DEADSPOT
-Raise RPM
-Linear Power
-Torque Gain
-Quicker Throttle Response

more as I think of it..

i would love for this to pair with a fully bolted set up. a cold air intake without tuning is probably going to net barely any gains in real world driving... with this however... im hoping we can get some more out of this car n/a.... would love to see what this car can get out of the stock set up..

Would be nice to have an off the shelf tune for adding a CAI. And getting rid of the torque dead spot would be killer. As that's really all I'm worried about while my car is still under warranty. Cobb should have it all lined up by the time I get my down payment saved up.

Cant see what this will do with full bolt ons I/H/E

Especially with that full 3inch setup perrin is making. If that setup with a tune can make a good 20-30hp ill be dam happy.
