I don't think you can read too much into this.
I remember the GSport MKI was seen being shown at car shows when the MKII came out... or i could be completely wrong but this feels right |

Nope, my family has other houses in Cambodia. I can ship the car there and get one here since I'm not going to stay here like all year. My friend bought a Camry(Aussie Aurion) from Taiwan and ship it to Cambodia. It's a few grands cheaper than the US Camry with the same package.

Mainland and Hong Kong taxes are much much higher probably because the traffic congestion problems are rather serious. My dad works in China, his Nissan Bluebird back in the early 2000s was around 40k USD, and it was comparable to a 4 cylinder Altima over here. Also I saw some random news article about some rich guy in China smashing his Lambo Gallardo because it kept breaking down on him...he paid more than 2 times what it would cost in the US for that car. Buying a car in China is pretty bad I'm just saying...you'll see what I mean when it comes out. Or you could just go to like say Audi or BMW's Chinese site and check their prices. Better off trying to arrange something directly with a dealer in Cambodia?

Well good luck man. Taiwan might work, you might want to try shopping in other places around Asia though since I imagine shipping would be more. Just saying you're not going to find a bargain in mainland China/HK/Macau on an import for sure. I don't know about other places.
Actually I think it doesn't cost too much (I'm guessing less than the extra you'll pay at a dealer) to ship from say Japan or the US, maybe you could consider that. |

Um...I probably said this somewhere on the forum already but...
when talking to the rep at the NYIAS he said that scion concept is just an attention getter for america...nothing more He said the final production will more or less be the concept from geneva (mkii) with the extras removed and slight alterations to the bumpers. Everything should always be taken with a grain of salt but I was talking with him for nearly half an hour and he did seem to know wtf he was talking about.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Best news yet for me. I wonder if we can order these extras that were taken off and put them back on. ![]() ![]() ![]() I think that what he said was probably true. However, I'm sure it was more like "Let's show this concept, get attention, and see how many people like it", while the intent is for MkII to be in production I'm sure if the FR-S is a better hit that Toyota may consider using the design. So, I think things are still in the air.

About the comment above on production version of FT-86, I'm happy that it's similar to Mark2, but that's just me. |

I do hope they use LESS and remove the LED's, the side vents, the ugly spoiler, the rear diffuser, the ugly taillights and clean up the rear bumper!
