Im loosing track of what I have and havent seen.

Yeah i havn't seen the first two pics either. So this is still the design that will be around the world? but the usa gets the mkiii? interesting. Do you think we will get a different motor as well?

Is Toyota sticking with MKII? If so, . . . wow. So much for mechanically identical.

SIRvive 04-27-2011 02:29 PM

If Toyota sticks with the MKII I'll cherish my Scion much more.

SUB-FT86 04-27-2011 02:33 PM

This car might end up having two body styles around the world like a Honda Civic does. I hope we get mk3 and every where else gets the other styles.

Giccin 04-27-2011 02:47 PM

I think Shanghai probably JUST got the MKII. MKIII probably won't be seen by them for a little while longer.

I was thinking the same. MkIII is still at NYIAS through the weekend so that left MkII as being available to show off at Shanghai. Still prototypes at this stage. Probably trying to use the autoshows to gauge interest in the design/car.

Sounds good too me. Unfortunately, the rest of the world will most likely get the better car mechanically.

Hmm.... Isn't MKIII suppose to be American Only? or that's wrong

Well Scion is Canada/USA only. So in that regard yes. But Scion=Toyota so I don't see why Toyota couldn't use the same exterior if they decided that was the route they wanted to take.

If they have different styles, I may want to go shopping the car in China since my mom goes to China like once a month.

Dark 04-27-2011 04:09 PM

This shoot looks damn hot...

I hope Toyota goes all or nothing. Because if the FR-S is in America but the MkII is everywhere else, I'm going to have a really hard time buying this car, since I will refuse to get the "inferior*" FR-S model.

* Disclaimer: Inferior is my choice of wording for the MkIII concept as I find the MkII to be much better. Any disagreement replies will be ignored. :P
