Yes this car is definitely very undramatic to drive in stock form, 40% throttle and 100% do feel similar. It doesn't feel like you have to control the car if you start to push it to the edge.
In other words, you have to find the drama, but it's not a good idea to do on public roads. In order to get this car in an exciting area to drive, you have to turn off all traction controls, and just keep this thing above 5000k RPM. Also it needs a bunch of curvy turns etc. Otherwise, daily driving is super easy mode, not fun at all. My car is currently in the shop adding drama lol

To correctly judge whether the car is hard to drive:
1. Must be on correct road (right turns for the speed) 2. Must drive fast enough to approach limit, driving on the ragged edge 3. Must have all nannies off 4. Preferably be driving a manual It really depends on the driver. If someone does all of the above and still feels that it's easy to drive, then the driver probably is pretty skilled. If a beginner does all of the above, the driver might feel that the car is hard to drive. |

The FR-S is not as fast as some cars. I traded in my GS400 to get my FR-S. I also just got rid of my S2000. Both cars are faster in a straight line than the Scion. I feel the FR-S is as much fun to drive as the s2000 though. And has a back seat! It’s a great compromise between cost, weight, power, interior space, and reliability. Meaning, you could get something that was faster and more powerful, but it would cost more (for gas at least) and may not be as reliable.

Also realize that until 1000 miles these cars have reduced timing for break-in. So it will be slower than one with 1000 miles or more.
