In the end I had to pull some ninja moves, including a 180 in the middle of the street to lose them.

I reckon they were either:

b) curious about the car
c) sinister mofos who wanted to follow me home
Maybe it was a car full of scantily clad women with a briefcase full of money.

-Coworker is in love with my car and asked me if she could see it today at work

-All my friends now want to go for a ride in my car, or for me to drive.... "but I only have 1 more seat!"

-At work today a coworker went to the loading dock in the back and saw a bunch of guys on break/from the floor standing out back looking at my car from afar "is that the new toyota?" "yeah it is" "it's a really nice car"

Ok, I have a different story, this one is about a hater reaction

These two high schoolers were in a 2012 Civic, not the SI. I was putting away groceries in my trunk, and one of them yells out, "Nice Car! Should have gotten it in a different color, __________"

So then I turn, smile, and shout, "At least it's not a Honda! You guys aren't even driving an SI!".

Kids stopped like they were going to do something, and after a long, hard staredown, they continued on their journey

HATERS GON' HATE

That's funny. People just keep asking me "is it fast?" All I tell them is I got mine up to 107 in fourth gear before it redlined. They smile and say "nice". Then I tell them I had 2 more gears to go and that's when they step back and say "really?" That's when I start laughing :-)

My red FRS gets gawkers downtown once in a while, and the occasional stare while I'm going down the road. Honestly it got a bit annoying after the first week. Starting to taper off now though since this only a mid-sized town and I have it out around downtown constantly, so I guess most people who care have seen it already.

Girls who don't know any better think I'm rich now though, which is usually kind of cool I guess.

Sigh. Even with a lot of work the Si is still not nearly as fun a drive. Ask me how I know

Similar with the RX-8, but not quite to the level you kids are getting. "What is that?" kinda stares and thumbs up from people in cars and walking by yes, but not the crowds in parking lots and people taking pictures and such, no lol. Enjoy

Doesn't sound like they were hating on the car, maybe the color, but not the car.

Needless to say, I don't think he understands that I autocross frequently, my car weighs 500 pounds less, and 15hp isnt really all that much.
Enjoyed reading these, but how do you know the Prelude driver floored it and passed you because he was excited about seeing your car? From personal experience, I hate when I have to accelerate and go around someone who's driving a nice/modified car. They always seem to take it as a challenge to their manhood when I pass, when in reality, I'm just going around them because they drive too slow (not saying you do, just generally speaking).

No offense taken at all

I was in the middle lane of a 3 way highway, just cruising at 60 with light traffic (just got the car, dont speed unless with traffic, have gotten my share of tickets and leave it all for the track now).

The car was merging from the left (essentially 4 lanes now, with that car having a solid 30 seconds to merge) pulled into the left lane about a car length or two behind me. Next thing I know is I hear a loud "BWWAAAAAA" and the car pulled up beside me, kept going, and got into my lane about 3 car lengths in front of me and then proceeded to go the same speed.

The driver then started slowing down to below the speed limit, which I then proceeded to get into the left lane, pass, and then merge back in to the middle. I was going the speed limit afterwards, and the car was getting smaller and smaller in my rear view mirror.

Thing I hate is, no matter what car i drive, if im behind a slpwer moving car and I have cruise on (I know my speed will be constant)... I go to pass and then the car speeds up and doesnt let me pass, or just matches my speed. ... I dont understand why some people have a superiority complex and cant be passed. It happens ~7/10 times when im just cruising, slowly catching up to a car. I'm perfectly fine with being passed, even if I'm going the speed limit or more, with traffic.

I get a lot of looks, honks, people checking it out, one guy asked if it was a Porsche ( cannot figure that one out, and a hot blonde checking it out with a mad boyfriend. Lucky for me we were moving down the road, he looked big

My favorite reaction I had thus far, was two asian girls who pulled up next to me in their Scion TC and literally stopped traffic to stare at the car. I had a passenger in my car and she was really creeped out because one of the girls who was looking, had her pointy finger in her mouth and looked at my car in a really dirty way. The TC stayed for a while until cars started to honk at her.
