People's Reaction to Your New FR-S

[Erroneous]

Guy at Oreilly's asked how fast it was. I told him comparable to a Prius. Then he asked if it was the turbo version. I said it didn't exist. He said turbo option was available in Europe. I got in the car and left.

All my friends told me I'm a lucky Son of a B****. I'm one the few in the low country to have one. I haven't seen another one yet. Apparently they are on back order out the a** here. Everyone at work keeps looking at it. Have had some civics, subies, and tc drive next to me with a look of envy.
I was really lucky to get it. Only reason I got it was because the last person backed out of the deal. No one at the toyota dealership knew it was free and it sat there for 7 days total. Me and my friend looked at it. Tested it and I was sold. Made a deal that day, got financing that night, and drove it off the lot the next day.
I traded my 2001 Audi S4 for it. It's a little slower and RWD is different than AWD, but it's fun. I don't regret the trade at all. Only had it for 3 days and it just breathes awesome. It's hot lava red 6MT and has been turning heads since I've been driving it around.
I would recommend this to anyone. My roommate is getting the BRZ since I got the FR-S and I think my mom wants one as well hopefully not red... Lol.

A teenager in a tC nearly totaled his car today taking pictures of my FR-S with his cell phone. I don't mind him taking pictures, but we were coming up to a red light. He could have easily done it while stopped. I looked over he had two hands on the cell phone lining up the shot at about 15-20mph and nearly slammed into a stopped truck with a trailer hitch sticking out.

Hope he got the shot at least.

The reactions i get are just CRAZY!!!! Every time i park my car its far away from other cars, yet i always get to my car with people walking around it. This kind of FREAKS me out so i rushed out to get an alarm with a two way pager. people record me with their phones well driving and also take pictures. thats scary as well. just waiting to see an accident behind me. I have learned to hate pumping gas because i have to answer a thousand questions. The type of people who like the car surprise me; i get people in hot rods giving me the thumbs up, people in lifted trucks checking it out and even the local gardener and so on...

I get more girls checking me out in my FRS then i did in my Lexus GS

Its cool to drive a car that people love to look at!

because i have mixed emotions! dont get me wrong i love my car i just hate when people are around my car too much thats how you get scratches and your car broken into. i do feel a lot more comfortable now that i have an alarm. I love that people dig my ride just dont want anything to happen to my baby lol

I got a thumbs up from a gorgeous NSX that was very tastefully modded. Just got the car back from the shop so it was my first drive in it.

Had this one guy in a grand prix hold up traffic, luckily we were in a construction zone so it was slow but he lingers on the side and takes pics with his phone. Just last week I was stuck on the highway a minivan drove up on the side, this little kid stuck his phone out to take a pic all while a ferrari F12 passes their van on the left hand side. I'm like kid, get the ferrari, lol, I had such a laugh at that. I felt famous.

Oh and again I was stuck on the same highway a few days after I picked up the FRS, this dude drives in the next lane, passes me but does a double take, turns his head around and almost runs into the car in front of him. All the while I'm watching this like, watch out!!

DUDE. So many people think they know shit about this car that is so far off. I had a TECH guy at the Toyota dealership ask me if I bought the V6 version. I was like uhhhhhhhhhhhhh THERE IS NONE. I proceeded to argue with him for 3-4 minutes and then I just had to leave.

I have to boldly tell people that this car has the same exact engine in every country in the entire world. Flat 4 with 200hp.

Other than the ricer flyby's and rushing through traffic to ride my ass for whatever reason, I get a lot of thumbs up and long looks. But since it's silver I think it get's lost.
That's just fine with me though. The one's who notice are usually enthusiasts; it's the unwanted attention that takes some getting used to...LOL

THIS. Cars full of people. They will ride side by side and speed up and then slow down to check out the entire car from front to back.

The slowing down business makes it hard to changes lanes on some traffic-y mornings, btw.

Any form enthusiast, or folks who have some interest have shown importance to my FR-S... I live in a pretty active city. Couple of folks rolled their windows down to ask about my car... That was a good feeling.

Some people try to race, tailgate, and accelerate aggressively past me... But for the most part, my FR-S seems to fit in... Either that, or the first few days of attention has worn off on me, haha.
