Believe me, this has been an ongoing debate with us internally as well.

The two "huge" mufflers in the shot are actually only 15.5" long each in body. The have centered inlet/outlets. That's the largest we can fit and still have a direct "Y" path to the tips.

For full production, we have the option to decrease that down to a 10"-14" canister, or change to an offset inlet and/or outlet. Generally speaking, the bigger the canisters and more centered the inlet/outlet, the quieter things will be. So the system as shown should be about as quiet a direct dual system as can be made with straight through mufflers.

Could this be done on an order-by-order basis, or would you be picking one setup and running with it?

And I know everyone is talking about a quiet exhaust, but I'm not looking for the quietest exhaust ever.

Well I don't mind the length of the mufflers but the width of the oval is what i'm talking about.

Unfortunately, we aren't really equipped to produce "one-offs". At some point, a final decision will be made on the muffler canister size

Having said that, we don't tell people what they like, they tell us. Based on feedback from our customers and dealers, we do make adjustments and revisions as time goes on. The market demand will dictate the systems we send to full production.

(there is also talk of producing a single exit muffler design, but that might be a ways down the pipeline)

Clearance and sound testing will be the deciding factors for the muffler sizes. So I can't really say if the mufflers will be longer/shorter/wider at this point.

As another member pointed out, other than when you are unwrapping it from the original packaging, you don't really see much of the mufflers on this car once it's installed.

The piping is 2.5" (63mm).

possible to mate your original axel back to your catback midpipe? i like the stock/TRD/ Perrin style setup for muffler and all.. lil less modded lookin IMHO. not that there's anything wrong with a blatant exhaust change... hell i slow down and open windows just to hear whenever i see an obvious exhaust... i'm just keeping mine as stealth as possible (after all my license plate is stealth :P)

Unfortunately, not at this time. The factory midpipe cuts way over to the drivers side of the car, so the axleback attachment point wouldn't be directly compatible with our dual muffler midpipe.

I do know exactly what you mean, we are working on a few possible solutions to this for people who want a single muffler dual outlet design. Stay tuned!
