Honestly, a clear-ish turn signal will probably get more attention than the amber ones, simply from the fact that most drivers are not used to seeing clear turn signals.

is there a reason i can't do this to my FR-S too? (DIY page says "BRZ only")

it says BRZ only because the FR-S front indicators are in a different location (down in front lip/fender, not in headlight assembly). but apart from that, go for it!
although, not sure if front indicator globes on FR-S are a different globe style or not. HTH

Swapped out all the external lights on my FR-S today for LEDs, including switchback white to amber LEDs for the front indicators. Can confirm the globes are 7443.

what did you do to counteract the hyper-flashing? parallel resistors, or swap out the Relay for LED adjusted unit?

Resistors, because that's what I could get my hands on locally, though the relay would've been easier.

Just installed the chrome bulbs...very easy. Lamps definitely look cleaner now, but the bulbs are noticeably dimmer.
