There is a list of "customizations" (things that dealers can change electronically about the interior set-up of the car - lights and stuff) in the back of the owners handbook / manual...
It is not very exciting stuff, I'll try to get a scan if people are interested...

I'd be interested to know the part numbers vs Vin numbers as well. I'm trying to get mine, but my FRS has been on the lift for 3 days so I'm not sure I'm gonna get anything from the techs if I call.

Damn! I missed it by 1821 cars lol. Mine is 4213. Guess that means a trip to the dealer. Someone post a list of the options that can be "customized" though! I'd love to go to the dealer with a grocery list instead of making 102948294 trips there.

Is the ECU part number easy to see as the photo posted above? I didn't even have the car long enough to get familiar with the engine bay before it was up on the lift at Toyota.

Edit: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...1&postcount=28

Looks like it's under the glove box? Or perhaps behind it. I'll probably have to wait till I have mine back to check it out.

CLEARLY says on the TSB at the bottom:

APPLICABLE WARRANTY
• This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for
36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date.
• Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in this
bulletin.

my question is how did the guy who said it's not covered under warranty get his job?
which dealership was it so people can avoid schemers?

Just to let everyone know, I ordered one about a week ago for my own car and a TAS rep called me at my desk at work and asked if it was absolutely necessary for me to have my DRL's off because there are only three or four headlight ECU's in the country and they don't want to go into a massive back order situation and there's people that absolutely have to have their DRL's off. I told him that although i thought it was BS that not only was i not being taken care of as a customer who just purchased a brand new car but Toyota doesn't want to take care of me as an employee either I would wait, so he told me to give him a call in a week when he got back from vacation to get a good ETA on my ECU. Just thought you guys should all know.
