What is this noise?

After I turn the car off, when I open the door there is a noise that happens in the instrument cluster area. It almost sounds like a motor moving something?

Can someone please tell me what this is?

A recording would be helpful.

I put my ear to the screen but all I heard was Chris Harris and Max Verstappen

Is it the window in the door moving down to allow the door to open?

I'm betting the the window. Watch your driver's side window when you open and close the door. The top of it

Just went out and double checked it. It is not the window. It happens with the window cracked when opening the door engine off, but also at start up, right before the engine cranks.

It sounds like a small electric motor moving something. Took a couple videos on phone, will try to upload. Posting from work PC.

I know which sound you are referring - it's akin to a whirring sound that lasts slightly more than half a second.

Definitely not the window, but rather difficult to pinpoint the exact location.

It's the throttle valve resetting. It's a fly by wire system and it rehomes itself when the key is turned on or off. Or it could be the fuel pump building pressure. Unless it's something different...

I could see either when it does it at start up, but not when the door is opened after shutdown.
Hard to tell in the videos, but it makes the noise both times.

My car does the same thing. I have the push button start and when you shut off the engine, some accessories are still powered on until you open the door. Now that I hear it again, it could be the CD player resetting. The stereo stays energized until you open the door.
