sorry about replying on such an old thread but I finally can afford the strut and I've been wondering how to protect that AC line and what to use. |

Does the Hotchkis bar come with torque specs for everything, or where can I find that? Also for the install is it ok if the car is on a slight slope front to back? My driveway should be level left/right, but slopes down slightly towards the street. Otherwise I guess I could just do the install in the parking lot at work, easy enough to bring the needed tools along.

Also mine came with a plastic cut tube and zip ties to protect the AC line from rubbing against the strut bar. |

I love the build quality on the one I got. Just finished installing it, and the tolerances are a bit tight. One of the diagonal arms didn’t settle on the exposed bolt near the firewall correctly. A very light tap with a mallet settles it and I was able to easily get the nuts all back on. The instructions say 12 ftlbs for everything but the strut bolt, which should be at 17.
Like with DandoX, mine came with a length of clear plastic tubing that’s cut along one length that you can open up and wrap around the portion of AC tuning that contacts the bar. Zip ties included to secure the clear tube on the AC tube. |

This is a longshot but if anyone has the Hotchkis Strut bar for sale ill buy. Tried posting in the WTB section. These are discontinued so hard to find. I prefer this over the AEM this is significantly lighter

When you click buy it says sorry not available tried all the umbrella sites similiar to 86speed. They dont update site. Tried 2 smaller sites that showed as well no luck. Also reached out to hotchkis to see if they held a few back, they basically told me keep trying around |
