I'm not sure that would be a wise decision on my part.

Hope this thread isn’t too dead. Has anyone dealt with getting their vehicle smoged yet? I’ve tried contacting Harrop USA via their contact form but haven’t heard back yet. I need to get the CARB compliant tune as it’s failed smog due to “modified software”.

I would try a personal contact I had good success reaching out to via email to get a new pulley ordered: ryan.dinkel@harrop-usa.com

The requirement for the CARB compliant tune is that you have no other modifications to the engine. This means stock headers, stock fuel injectors, stock MAP sensor, no flex-fuel, etc. One other requirement is that you run the 95mm pulley that comes with the Harrop kit.

Pay the $300 fee, then you get the "privilege" of having their CARB tune and matching engine bay sticker.

I bought a tune and sticker, but never used it. You will need the info from your ECUTEK to send to Harrop, and they will ship the sticker and send the matching ECU CARB tune.

Has anyone heard any updates from Harrop regarding timeframe on the updated/revised supercharger kit? And will backwards compatibility to the FA20 include a CARB EO/tune for the 1st gen models?

I feel like there is nothing from anyone in regards to FI kits for the GR86 platform. Maybe it is an ECUTEK thing. Maybe it is a CARB process thing. Seems like the void of kits is suggestive that this isn't a Harrop-only issue.

Harrop was busy re-tooling their molds for these kits, supposedly.

They didn't seem to have a real ETA.

They would have been done with all that stuff a long time ago. They are either waiting for ECUTEK or waiting for CARB.

Does your IAT reads higher or the same as ambient when your car is cold?

If your tuner didn't rescale for the Harrop intake air temp sensor it won't read correctly this can also cause some issues with tune especially if it's using speed density

I don't disagree, but that's the reply they keep giving me when I pester them.

TRD SC Owners club

Have done a lot of reading on the Harrop SC for my preparations. Sadly though I cannot relate to any TRD SC owners and create a TRD SC owner thread

Latest news from Harrop is that it's looking like 2024. The delay has nothing to do with CARB or EcuTek.
